management and Safety Representatives, are a vital component in securing a safe
and healthy workplace. No matter what sector of industry whether it is
manufacturing, construction, wholesale, retail, education or any of the
numerous service areas. Legislation now imposes requirements on employers,
employees and visitors, in securing safety in the workplace.
Safety Representatives are
charged with the task of representing all employees, in matters of Safety &
Health in the workplace. In order to effectively carry out their functions,
employers must provide training and it must not cost the Safety Representative.
Safety Representatives play an integral and vital role in the workplace. Some
employers, expect the Safety Representative to act as Safety Officer for the
company.
